Abhishek Kumar is a seasoned development professional with over 16 years of experience in the social sector and sustainable fashion industry, specializing in strategic leadership, organizational development, and partnership building. As a Senior Consultant at SNS Six Sigma Consultants LLP, he leverages his deep expertise to design and implement impactful, scalable, and community-driven solutions.
Abhishek’s career has spanned leadership roles in prominent organizations, including his tenure as Executive Director of Sewa International, where he managed operations across 10 states, overseeing more than 100 projects and partnerships with over 30 donor agencies. His work has impacted over one lakh beneficiaries directly through programs in disaster management, livelihood generation, skill development, and healthcare.
An innovator and consensus builder, Abhishek has led flagship initiatives such as the establishment of women-led farmer producer companies, mobile healthcare services in remote Himalayan regions, and multi-district skill development centers in collaboration with NSDC. His project management skills extend to large-scale rehabilitation efforts post-disasters, where he has coordinated with technical institutions, government agencies, and grassroots NGOs to deliver sustainable results.
Before his leadership in the social sector, Abhishek co-founded Valka Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd., a home décor venture blending Indian craftsmanship with global design sensibilities, creating livelihood opportunities for artisans across multiple states.
Beyond his professional roles, Abhishek is an active speaker, mentor, and community mobilizer, having addressed forums at institutions like King’s College London, NIFTEM, and the Vivekananda International Foundation.
